JUVENILE DIABETES RESEARCH FOUNDATION (JDRF) has been my major "cause" since I was diagnosed with Type I Juvenile Diabetes on November 30, 1995. In March of 2005, I was also diagnosed with Celiac Disease, a condition that is found in one-in-five Type I Diabetics and basically is an allergy/intolerance to gluten (wheat, barley, rye, and oats). When I ingest gluten, my body creates antibodies which then cause my body to virtually attack itself. Now that I am "gluten free," I have more energy, clearer focus, and improved vitality ... I also have grown dramatically since removing gluten from my diet. I HOPE TO RAISE AWARENESS of diabetes and its complications. I participate in the annual JDRF "Walk to the Cure" to raise funds for diabetes research. HORSE-REDDISH DENIM STICK HORSES
Together with my mom we have developed and marketed HORSE-REDDISH handmade denim stick horses when I was 14 years old as an income opportunity before I could have a "real" job. (Please click on the PAGE 2 link at the top of this page to see an article which featured me and the horses.) These horses are made from the leg of a pair of denim jeans. HORSE-REDDISH HANDMADE DENIM STICK HORSE is included in Dan Cavanah's "World's Largest Stick Horse Collection" as recognized by the Guinness World Record and the stick horses (including HORSE-REDDISH) are currently on display at Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede gift shop in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. We obtained a copyright on the patterns and instructions to make these horses and currently sell the pattern on ebay.

I am studying up now on each of the component parts of the vehicle and how they all fit and work together. I am so excited about this project.
